Calculations Used for the Consensus Method of Handicapping

Figure 1 shows a sample race using the Consensus Method.

Each column's calculations are described below.  Keep in mind that scoring values are affected by the Scoring Method you select.

This method produces a mix of the other handicapping styles. 

Each column represents the 'score' for each dog according to that method. You may weight the use of each of the other methods to produce the final 'score' for the CONSENSUS Method.  Please note that when using the Normalized scoring system, the Knife and Knife Adapted scores may be identical.  

To use this method, become familiar with the other methods first. 

The CONSENSUS value column shown to the right side of the display is repeated in the results display under "TOT".
