Setting up Multi-Year Data

As you use QuickDog on a daily basis to download race data, eventually you can have years of racing data to use in your testing if this is what you wish to do.  QuickDog, however, will typically and automatically discard race data more than 1 year old.  You will notice this by messages which will popup.

Since some users wanted to use more than 1 years worth of data, QuickDog can do this, but you must set this feature up using the "Multi-Year Data" feature.

Notice that it is a simple matter to turn this feature on or off.  Simply select the appropriate button so that you will either save multi-year data or you will not.

Features of QuickDog such as BackTest will allow you to select data up to 5 years old or longer.   But this will only work if you select this feature then collect that amount of data over several years.  Most QuickDog users find that having 1 year's worth of data to test with is sufficient.  The reason is that dogs race about 4 days apart typically, contrasted to horses which may be off for weeks before running again.
